This is an excellent Keokuk Geode from Clark County, Missouri. It was collected near the town of Alexandria from a geode-bearing layer of shale. 

It is composed of an outer shell of Chalcedony that has been lined with hundreds of sparkling Quartz crystals. Adorning the Quartz are lovely translucent Calcite crystals. The Calcite crystal has a pink Calcite phantom located inside, which is a very unique feature and gives this geode a boost in it's rarity. Tiny Pyrite crystals can be seen on some of the Quartz crystals. It is truly a beauty of a geode and a nice treasure.
