This is a nice Quartz geode from the St. Francisville, MO area. It has nice sparkling Quartz crystals that have Filliform Pyrite crystals sticking up all over them. Adorning one geode half is a well formed Calcite crystal. It has a lovely translucent white crystal faces that are well formed. Some of the Quartz crystals have a nice orange tint, most likely a result of the weathering of Pyrite, which contains iron in its chemical composition.

This geode is approximately the size of a baseball and will make an excellent addition to any collection.

This is a Keokuk Geode. They are known for their exceptional quality and beauty.
