**All sold USED batteries are tested according to the specifications of the e-steward battery load test. Although we do not record the results for exact run-time for each unit in our internal audit records, they have passed all current e-steward load test standards for a good/passing grade battery. Length of time of operation under battery power is unknown considering the many different factors that will cause a battery to drain faster/more slowly. We would assume somewhere between 1.5 hours to 4 hours depending on the laptop model and what applications are being used.
Apple batteries are designed to retain up to 80% of its original capacity at 1000 complete charge cycles. "Service Recommended" indicates that the battery's ability to hold charge is less than when it was new. Apple may recommend taking your Mac to an Apple Store or Apple-authorized service provider to get your battery evaluated but this is usually completely unnecessary so long as the cycle count falls under the recommended max. The battery can be used after it reaches its maximum cycle count, but you might notice a reduction in your battery life. This model is fully compatible with the final version of macOS Catalina (10.15), including support for Dolby Atmos, and the final version of macOS Big Sur (macOS 11). It additionally supports the final version of macOS Monterey (macOS 12), but it does not support the minor Spatial Audio, Portrait Mode, 3D Landmarks, and Interactive Globe features. When paired with a compatible iPad, it supports the Sidecar feature, too.
This model also is fully compatible with macOS Ventura (macOS 13) with the exception of the minor Live Captions in FaceTime, Emoji Dictation, and Reference Mode with Sidecar features.
Likewise, this model is fully compatible with macOS Sonoma (macOS 14) with the exception of the minor Presenter Overlay, React with your Hands using the built-in camera, Game Mode, high-performance mode in the Screen Sharing app, and quicker Siri launch capability.
Finally, this model is compatible with macOS Sequoia (macOS 15) with the exception of the Apple Intelligence (AI) and Live audio transcription features.
This model does not support macOS Tahoe (macOS 26) or later versions of the macOS.
