Vintage Taylor stream / pocket thermometer in perforated metal protective case

Top engraving says "Taylor  Rochester, NY USA"

Appears to be a mid-century fly fishing or outdoor sporting accessory used for checking stream water temperature.

Thermometer is functioning and currently reading accurately compared to ambient temperature. Glass tube is intact. Metal housing shows normal vintage wear/patina from age and use.

Features metal protective sleeve with perforated section at bottom "machine gun barrel style", pocket clip and loop for lanyard attachment, with classic analog temperature scale.

Great piece for fly fishing collectors, vintage sporting gear enthusiasts, or streamside display.
