K. of M. could mean: Knights of the Maccabees or Knights of Malta. 

It has been used and has very few scratches to surface, minor tarnish / oxidation.

It stands about 3 1/2" tall and is about 1 3/4" wide at top area.

The pin on back of badge is in good working order.

Made of great workmanship by The Lilley & Co. Military and Society Goods, Columbus, Ohio.

I would say item is in good condition nice item to add to a collection.
