Box from the 1920s, made from distinctively grained birch wood (burl birch) with a warm honey color.
The flat lid is adorned with an artistic, delicate wooden inlay in the shape of a three-engine airliner - probably a Junkers Ju 52 - which reflects the contemporary spirit of enthusiasm for technology.
The object stands on four simple, square log feet.
The box shows signs of age-related wear, including fine drying cracks in the veneer and small missing parts on the edges and inlay bands.
The original lock inside is missing; There is a keyhole on the front. The interior is simply left in light natural wood.
Mass: approx. 28 x 21 x 10.5cm. Weight: 1,249 grams.
Good used condition, age-related signs of wear (see photos)
