For sale is one Near Mint copy of Japanese Foil Memory Jar from Urza's Legacy (1999).
Card details:
The Legend of Memory Jar: Memory Jar is one of the most notorious and iconic cards in Magic: The Gathering history — the centerpiece of the legendary "Broken Jar" combo deck that caused an emergency mid-season banning after Randy Buehler and Erik Lauer finished 3rd and 4th at Grand Prix Vienna 1999.
Memory Jar holds the distinction of receiving the first and only emergency ban in Magic history — banned after just 14 days in play during the infamous "Combo Winter" of 1999, a period that nearly broke the game and sent players fleeing en masse.
Today Memory Jar remains banned in Legacy and restricted in Vintage — a testament to its raw power. Legal and beloved in Commander and Old School, it remains one of the most historically significant artifacts ever printed.
The Japanese foil version from Urza's Legacy is exceptionally rare — printed in far smaller quantities than the English edition, with the stunning Pre-Modern foil treatment that collectors prize above all others.
