Used Gibson J-200 Antique Natural '93
1993 model. The King of Flat-Tops! A J-200 has arrived as a consigned used item!
The powerful bass tones and sweet, crisp, and distinctive sound emanating from its 17-inch super jumbo body, adorned with maple, have captivated many.
Upon arrival at our store, a complete setup including back bracing re-gluing, fret leveling, and nut groove & saddle adjustment was performed at our affiliated repair workshop.
The body shows weather checking, slight top bulging, rust on the end pin, and scratches and signs of use commensurate with its age, which are common in 90s Montana products.
There are no cracks or fatal damage to the wood, and the iconic pickguard decoration remains intact.
The bridge pins have been replaced with wooden pins.
The frets have approximately 40-50% remaining, and the truss rod is functioning correctly.
During setup, the string height was adjusted to an average level of 2.5mm for the 6th string and 2.0mm for the 1st string at the 12th fret.
Currently, there are no noticeable issues with playability, but there is little remaining saddle material, so there is no room to lower the string height further.
*Please note that the string height is the value at the time of setup and may fluctuate due to the properties of the wood.
While it shows signs of wear and tear, it has a well-worn sound that is pleasing to the ear.
This guitar boasts the unique atmosphere of a 90s Gibson that cannot be found in current models.
