This is a vintage Wedgwood Bicentennial earthenware round platter produced as a limited edition exclusively for the John Wanamaker department stores ( Philadelphia PA) for the American bicentennial of 1976
It is back stamped “SAMPLE" indicates that this specific piece was likely a factory prototype or a salesman's sample used for demonstration rather than for general retail sale, making this extremely rare!!!
It’s in very nice condition without any chips, cracks, crazing, scratches, or stains. It measures approximately 12-1/2" in diameter.
See photos for conditions and this is your chance to purchase a unique piece especially in time for this year’s 250th celebration of American independence!
