Description: A Silver Miniature Dutch Novelty “Kas” Perfume Bottle Holder C1850 Marks To Base With inscription: “This is to my liking”. A kas (or kast) is a large, sturdy, often monumental Dutch-style wooden cupboard or wardrobe, historically used for storing linens and valuable goods. Popular in the 17th–18th centuries in the Netherlands and colonial New York/New Jersey, it served as a major status symbol.
