featuring the Murphy Lab Collection Les Paul Standard and other "ultimate vintage reissues," it utilizes cutting-edge technology based on scientific verification to age new guitars, giving them the look and feel of vintage instruments, earning high praise from musicians and guitarists worldwide.
Then, in 2023, the long-awaited acoustic guitars were released from the Murphy Lab Collection, delighting Gibson fans around the world.
Many were amazed not only by the superb aging technology but also by the exceptionally high sound quality, truly reminiscent of vintage guitars.
And now, in 2025, the ever-evolving Murphy Lab Acoustic Collection is adding a new lineup of models.
1957 SJ-200 Light Aged
The Gibson SJ-200 first appeared in 1937, and its size, exceptionally expansive sound, and overwhelming stage presence quickly earned it the title of "King of Flat-Tops." In 1947, the wood used for the sides and back was changed from rosewood to maple. The SJ-200 was loved by musicians of all ages, from Hollywood cowboys and folk artists to country superstars and rock legends, and vintage SJ-200 models are highly coveted by collectors.
