Baltimore Orioles – Historic Licensing Variant**
You will receive:
1× ERROR Version – Ripken pictured in a plain black jersey with NO Orioles logo and NO uniform number
Box is full, ideal for display.
According to widely shared collector information, General Mills initially failed to secure MLB licensing approval for the use of the Orioles’ official jersey logo. Because of this, the first run of boxes featured Ripken in a generic black jersey with no logo or number.
These “no‑logo” boxes were distributed only in the Baltimore area, making them significantly harder to find today.
Once the license was finalized, General Mills printed the corrected version featuring the full Orioles uniform, and that version was distributed nationally.
