Offered for Sale a Highly Collectable but Rare 1920's Mitteldorfer Strauss Bronze Goat's Head Hammer with Legible Patent Number and Original Round Turned Hardwood Handle completed with button end.

New York City Toolmaker Mitteldorfer -Strauss designed the ornamental collectible hammer unique to that patent number with the goat holing the striker in its mouth and the goat's ears and horns flowing back to form the hammer's claw.
The patent date is stamped into the top of the claw-see pictures
Hammer is also the correct length as manufactured by Mitteldorfer-Strauss measuring 8-5/8" overall
This Rare Collectable Hammer was believed to have been given away as a purchase premium with a sack of flour or at least that is the lore. Hammer is in very good to excellent condition and appears to be all original with its correct handle that is solidly attached to the bronze hammer head.
