Story titled "Shoot-Out at the Stampede!" -- Part 2 of 2. Story by Chris Claremont and John Byrne, art by John Byrne and Terry Austin. Cover by Dave Cockrum and Terry Austin. With Wolverine and Nightcrawler held captive by Alpha Flight, Cyclops leads Colossus and Storm to the Calgary Stampede exhibition grounds to mount a rescue. The X-Men refuse to surrender Wolverine, and an all-out battle erupts between the two teams. Alpha Flight gains the upper hand through superior teamwork -- Shaman conjures a blizzard that engulfs the city. Storm eventually sacrifices herself to absorb and neutralize the storm, but the fight continues until Wolverine makes the decision himself: he surrenders to the Canadian authorities to protect his teammates. The X-Men are then escorted out of Canada by the Canadian air force.
