This is a Herend Nanking Bouquet Green oval fish platter and strainer insert. It features the ranking Bouquet pattern in green, which is hand-painted on fine white porcelain. The platter and insert have a scalloped edge with 24k gold accents. The insert is perforated with multiple holes, designed to strain liquid when serving food like fish or vegetables. This pattern was introduced in the 1930s, adapted from earlier Herend designs influenced by Asian porcelain styles. This item has never been used, just in the loft. It has a slight loss of gold as can be seen clearly in the photos. The price reflects this.
