x4 Lens Set LEITZ HUGO Leica M Rehoused Lens Set Summilux APO LPL Rangefinder ASPH Cinema Lens Set Full Frame T/1.5 Original Housing Included21, 35, 50, 90mm
Location: Michigan, NOAHMO
These are the aspherical Leica M lenses rehoused by Kim Camera and painstakingly adjusted to meet specs to work on all LPL mounts and cameras. These all have been made to have extreme close focus which is one of the major drawbacks of their original housings. They are extremely light and balanced well across the line which makes them great gimbal cameras. I used them a lot on a Ronin 2, but also occasionally with a stick RS2 type. Focus and iris is also in the same position across the line. The exceptions are the iris on the 90mm as it's larger / longer. I hand picked these lenses and used them unrehoused prior to pulling the trigger on rehousing all of them. I previously had the Leica R's and Ultra Primes. The performance on these lenses FAR exceeds those lenses. While the R's have a tiny bit more character they also have a huge fringing problem wide open. The M ASPH lenses don't have that whatsoever. They still have the beautiful Leica flares and rendering that exceeds expectations. This lens set shines brightest when used on full frame cameras, but you can still get a lot out of s35 sensors. You won't be able to find a cheaper set of HUGOs.
I'm including the original housing parts of these lenses as well.
Overall Notes: There are some usage marks on the barrels but the glass and function is flawless on all the lenses. They were very well maintained by me as an owner/op. There only went out without me twice in their lifetime.
Included:
21mm Summilux ASPH T/1.5 LPL (rehoused Leica M)
35mm Summilux ASPH T/1.5 LPL (rehoused Leica M)
50mm Summilux ASPH T/1.5 LPL (rehoused Leica M)
90mm Summicron APO T/2.1 LPL (rehoused Leica M)
There is a small knick on the barrel of the 90mm. It's the only thing worth noting on any of these lenses which are otherwise in excellent condition with light user marks on the barrels.
