Antique Cabinet Photo Grace B Thompson Minneapolis 1903
Here is one of the very best of the Keepsakefotos collection of Judith Allison Walters.
She is by far the prettiest among the first 4100 of the collection reviewed so far.
Signed on the reverse, it is a high school photo - Class of '03, E.H.S.
It was taken by the Lee Brothers of Minneapolis, (as was another of her classmates - Jessie Bryden)
E.H.S. apparently East High School. The photographers logo and city are very clearly stamped on the Bryden photo.
Ms.
Thompson was likely related to Signal Corp Lt Col Richard E. Thompson
as there was a news article in the St Paul Pioneer Press of 1903 that
mentions her visit to his family in Preston MN.
Over
the past several years I have contacted genealogical societies, LOC,
several other libraries and have advertised through Facebook, Google and
the Keepsakefotos website.
The entire
collection of 14000 or so is apparently too much to handle. Mrs Walters
spent over 60 years collecting antique photos, documenting and
cataloging them. If you have interest in your ancestors photographs, you
might send a request, hopefully including a name, approximate age and
date, and a perhaps a city.
