To assemble the splash guard, attach it to the short handle using a screw, then secure a brush handle into place. The hole diameter accommodates handles of 25mm or 1" width, tapering internally for a snug fit. An additional screw may be installed for enhanced stability; the recommended screw size is 1/4" or 6mm. This setup is frequently used with spiked overshoes for coverage in larger areas.

Before stepping onto freshly applied flooring material, securely fasten the spiked shoes over your work boots or shoes. Carefully traverse the surface to evenly distribute the compound or resin, eliminate air bubbles, and access edges or corners. The spikes help spread weight evenly, minimizing deep indentations, and are effective for back-rolling material or manoeuvring in confined spaces without damaging the finish, as spike marks dissipate once the compound settles.
