A 4 point road harness from TRS, specifically made for Mazda MX-5 (a.k.a. Miata/Eunos), from 1989 to 2005. With shorter shoulder straps designed to wrap around a roll bar or harness bar, these harnesses are ideal for use in your MX-5 for road use or track days.

As standard they feature shoulder straps manufactured to the correct length, ready to wrap around your roll bar or harness bar, and lap straps which adjust by pulling down to tighten. A harness bar manufactured specifically for the Mk1 and Mk2 MX-5 can also be supplied if required. Please use the dropdowns to order.

• Shoulder straps wrap around roll bar or harness bar (harness bar available as an option, see below).
• Shoulder straps are manufactured for the MX-5 to exactly the correct length to wrap around the harness bar or roll bar without excess webbing.
• Please note the length of the shoulder straps is 122cm from the adjuster to the end of the strap. Once the webbing has been wrapped around this will leave a maximum length of approximately 70cm from the adjuster to the roll / harness bar.
• Lap straps have snap hook fixings. 7/16" UNF eye bolts and instructions are included. The lap strap eyebolts screw into the original mounting points on the sill and on the seat runners. If you have replaced or are thinking of replacing the seats with Cobra Monacos, or other base mounted seats that retain the original runners, then this is still the case. If you have seats fitted with side mounts a new fixing point will be required to the centre of the car, on the tunnel. Please select the harness stress plates from the dropdown to facilitate this requirement. All FIA seats will require this type of fixing.

Shoulder Straps

• Shoulder straps are approximately 105cm from the adjuster to the end of the strap
• The adjustment range of the lower shoulder strap is between 10cm and 40cm
• These harnesses are supplied ready to wrap around a roll or harness bar. They cannot be fitted without these.
• Once the webbing has been wrapped around this will leave a maximum length of approximately 55cm from the adjuster to the roll / harness bar

Webbing Colour

TRS Harnesses are available in 10 different webbing colours: Red, Blue, Black, Yellow, Green, Grey/Silver, Orange, Pink, Miami Blue, and Purple.
Red, Blue, and Black harnesses are the most common colours, so harnesses in those colours are usually in stock, if you need your harnesses in a hurry.

Adjusters

You can upgrade the harnesses to the Superlite or Ultralite versions. As standard TRS harnesses use steel anti-creep adjusters. Also available are premium aluminium alloy adjusters, which in addition to being lightweight, offer a smoother and faster adjustment. The Superlite harnesses use these lightweight aluminium adjusters on the shoulder straps, and the Ultralite harnesses use them on both the shoulder and lap straps.

They are highly recommended for vehicles being shared between multiple drivers, and in general we always recommend upgrading to the aluminium adjusters due to their premium look and feel.
