Based on the Made in Japan Traditional 50s Telecaster.
■Body material changed from basswood to ash.
■9.5"-radius fingerboard changed from 9.5"-radius fingerboard to 7.25"-radius fingerboard.
■Frets changed from vintage size to tall, narrow-tall size.
■Pickups changed to Custom Shop 51 Nocaster pickups.
■The Fender decal on the headstock was changed from under the topcoat to above the vintage-style topcoat.
■Phillips screws changed from flathead screws.
■Factory gauge changed from .009"-.042" to .010"-.046".
