Up for sale is a nice piece of Victorian era pressed glass: a gorgeous cream pitcher by McKee & Brothers of Pittsburgh PA. It is part of their "Jewel" line also known as "Diagonal Band" and "Diagonal Block and Fan" by collectors. It's pressed in non-flint colorless glass. The deep tapering round body is patterned with three diagonal bands containing dotted X-form motifs and fans in a vaguely Oriental pattern. The foot is patterned on its underside with a row of dotted triangles. The creamer is 5 5/8" tall to the tip of the spout with a 2 3/4" diameter foot.
It is in excellent condition with moderate overall mold roughness (as made) along the top surface of the rim and spout, but also including a couple minor flakes in these areas, and one small flake under the foot. Satisfaction guaranteed, if you're not in love after handling it in person I'm happy to accept returns. Shipped via USPS at buyer's expense, or pickup in Northern NJ (please let me know before purchasing if you want to pick up and I'll disable shipping).
