Built on the iconic cast-aluminum chassis derived from Soviet Zorki rangefinder cameras, it seamlessly combines rangefinder ergonomics with true SLR pentaprism viewing. The letter "C" (S) stands for "Synchro", marking the historical introduction of a built-in PC flash synchronization socket.
