A special custom specification of Gibson's legendary J-45.
The round logo on the back of the headstock and the accompanying certificate are Custom Shop features, while the label follows Gibson's standard specifications. The overall build adheres to Custom Shop standards, making this a rare piece that combines collectibility with playability. It appears to be a Custom Select model, ordered by a music store, crafted using Custom Shop materials and finished meticulously by hand.
As a distinctive custom feature, the top is crafted from rare red spruce. Unlike standard spruce, this special wood offers rapid attack, exceptional clarity, and powerful projection, producing the vintage-rich tone unique to the J-45.
The mahogany back and sides deliver a warm, punchy midrange. It features a 24.75-inch scale length with a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard. Equipped with an L.R. Baggs HiFi pickup, it's ready for live performances and studio recording.
This J-45 offers the distinctive, open sound of a Red Spruce top combined with the meticulous specifications of the Custom Shop, creating a truly special instrument. It delivers vintage charm while performing exceptionally well in modern playing environments.
The original saddle was low, causing some muffled notes, so it has been replaced with a SCUD HSB-SG1 saddle.
There are some minor scratches, but overall it's in clean condition with minimal signs of use.
The neck shows no noticeable issues and is in excellent playing condition.
Condition Grade: B+: Some minor scratches present, but no issues for normal use.
