Club (CUAC) trophy presentation box dated 1885, awarded to J.T.W. Perowne for the 300 Yards Consolation Race (2nd).

The lid retains its original engraved copper shield reading:

John Thomas Woolrych Perowne (1863–1954) was the son of Charles Henry Perowne, Bishop of Worcester.

Black japanned wooden presentation box with original brass clasp. The interior retains its silk lining stamped:

Included inside is a separate heraldic shield plate bearing an episcopal coat of arms beneath a bishop’s mitre (unmarked, likely silver-plated).

Condition:

Honest age-related wear. Surface crazing and marks to the exterior consistent with late Victorian finish. Interior silk shows staining and wear. Hinges sound and box closes correctly. Please see photographs.
