Up for bid is a Bulova ORD. DEPT. cream dial US military issued stainless steel wristwatch.

I found out from a quick internet search that this watch was one of the watches produced in large numbers during the WWII for all the services. The US army required that the watches be able to stand up to the rigors of battles.

It is a unique and historical timepiece from the 1940s.

This manual mechanical watch features a cream color dial,, and an acrylic crystal.

With a military style and a small seconds dial, it is a custom-made piece with a 1 1/4 inch case..

The back on the case has engraved "ORD DEPT BULOVA USA 0F BULOVA WATCH CO 132557

Made in the United States, this watch is a rare find for collectors of vintage timepieces. Bulova wristwatch is a true gem for collectors and enthusiasts alike.

Please look at photos. This watch dial shows wear. The crystal does have a crack by the 2 - 4 oclock.

A new brown, leather band was installed. The watch measures 9 inches from end to end.

You are able to pull the stem our and turn the watch hands. However, when you push the stem back in, and  you turn it, the hands still move. So you are not able to wind this watch.

Currently the watch is not working or running.
