The product is an antique old hardwood fife ?or flute ? Possibly a fipple flute with the plugged end? I am not sure which. It measures 14.75 inches x 1”. This is in as found condition. Please see the photos for condition. A few things to note- an unrepaired thin crack, small mark near mouth hole, small signs of age and wear and connection area could have new wrapping for tighter fit. Overall this is in good condition for its age and has a beautiful feel to the wood.

I believe it may be a fife or simple flute ? But I am not an expert on these and I’m not sure. I believe the metal is most likely brass but I’m not sure. It is nice quality and is old. Most likely 1800’s ? Possibly Civil War era.? I believe this is in the key of D based on size and finger holes. Not sure though.
