You are looking at a late 70's or early 80's Sprite Musketeer.

This is probably the cheapest towable caravan on ebay. All the pictures were taken in February 2026 and I had no trouble towing it to where I took the pictures.

I brought this caravan just after Lock Down when they were silly money, I paid far too much for it but options were limited.

We used it loads and it's been all over the country. Despite looking a little tatty it still attracts the right sort of attention, people love to come and talk to you about it and they are always surprised how good it is close up. With some cheap battery fairy lights stuck to the outside and some decent throws over the cushions she's surprisingly homely. We effectively used her as a aluminium tent so things like the stove and fridge are untested.

However recently time has not been kind to it. Leaks developed around the rear window and front grab handles, she's dry now but some damage has been done to the panels but the frame is good. The only bit on the roof seams that is mildly moist is pictured, I normally put a strip of gaffer tape on the outside and it keeps it dry. The skylight also isn't great and if the rain is horizontal it does let in the odd drip That said I still think it's very solid and the floor and chassis are very good.

I've been in and out of it a lot this year as it was used to store some kitchen doors, as you know its been a wet year and it doesn't smell in there and I had no issues storing things in it.

It's a dream to tow, I dragged it to the local industrial estate to take the exterior pictures and I forgot how easy it is to tow and manoeuvre. The lights all work and even the brakes seem serviceable. The tyres also look good. There are plenty of old caravans on eBay and Facebook but not many you can hook up to and simply tow away!

Inside are many original features, all untested! It's been knocked about a bit and there is some damage here and there but hey, it's a 40+ year old caravan!

It's a shame really as I don't think the time has yet come for these caravans to be truly valued as the classics that they are. Sad really as you get that fabulous Sprite swan roof styling but also decent windows, insulation and radial tyres. One day their time will come and there won't be many left.

Her classic lines, aluminium skin and low weight also lend themselves to conversions such as wedding photo booth, catering van, merchandise sales unit, ice cream van, bar or any number of possibilities.

So what value do you put on this magnificent monument to brown? I'm not sure, but if you're going to send an offer please include a message so I know you're genuine, otherwise I'll ignore it.

I realise some people may be interested in this as a garden room or summerhouse and not have the means to tow it. I'm happy to discuss local delivery for a sensible fee but you must come and look at it first!

Collection can be arranged most weekends or weekday evenings, ideally within 7 days.

No warranty, no returns and this is a private sale.
