Early 20th Century Art Deco Silver and Abalone Chain Link Cufflinks

A superb pair of silver chain link cufflinks, each with a round section of abalone shell bezel-set into a silver mount. The round fronts are 15mm diameter, while the oval backs, each measuring 20mm x 5mm, are also set with abalone shell. Each panel is stamped SILVER to the back.

The abalone selected for these cufflinks is of the best quality, and shows a superb range of metallic colours from yellow through green and blue to purple as it catches the light.  I have tried to capture this in the photos. These cufflinks have been very well-made and finished, and remain in excellent condition a century later. There is no sign of damage or repair.

Classic, timeless design and in superb original condition.
