1800s wooden violin case.  Lock has a patent date of Mar. 1869 so the case being made is the 1800s is my assumption. Outside length is about 32.25", 9.5" wide, and 3.5" deep.  Some splits in the wood, one clasp missing, the other is loose.  The handle looks to have been move at some point. The case is untouched, is as found, and has not been cleaned.
