The 1961 Nu-Card Baseball Scoops set consists of 80 cards, each measuring 2-1/2" by 3-1/2”. Card fronts mimicked a two deck, red-lettered newspaper "headlines" bolstered by black-and-white photographs of the game’s heroes and superstars, past and present. The fronts also displayed the title "Baseball Scoops" with the banner repeated on the reverse, along with the card's number and an "Extra" box. The first few words of the headline were followed by a two- or three-paragraph story, recounting the particular incident, record or milestone.
