Chase Durer CDW-0157

There is a lot going on with this timepiece by Invicta. The Seiko VD57 Chronograph quartz engine supports three sub dials timing 1/10 seconds, elapsed seconds and accumulated minutes. The crown can be found in the 3 o’clock position protected by a three dimensionally machined crown guard. Chronograph pushers flank either side of the crown.

A second crown can be found in the 8 o’clock position. By turning this crown a bi-directional world timer rotates around the outer edge of the dial. The main dial is finished in gold with large 5 min baton indexes finished in white lume, outlined in gold. Large hour and minute hands are framed in gold and infilled with white lume. The main sweep seconds hand has been finished in fire engine red. A date window is in the 3 o’clock position, framed in black.

A screw down back allows this timepiece to achieve a water resistance rating of up to 100 metres. I suspect a slight compromise has been made in respect of the inboard rotating world timing mechanism re the water resistance.

The three link stainless steel bracelet beautifully compliments the casework at 26mm wide and 4mm thick. A stamped double locking over centre deployment clasp with micro adjustment completes the picture.

These are nice looking pieces by Invicta. They are quite dressy and yet could easily perform as an everyday wearer and of course as a travel companion.

Timepiece is new with tag and plastics attached. Comes with paperwork in a Chase Durer Presentation case and will be sent free via Express Post within the land of Oz.

I have been fielding enquiries recently in relation to the authenticity of the watches I sell and also customers wanting all plastics removed from the watches when being photographed. 

Firstly all my watches are certainly authentic. I do not sell, replica watches all though I do know that replica Invicta's do exist as I have myself unknowingly purchase a couple. My advice is not to buy Invicta watches where the country of origin is China. Having said that both replica's I purchased were from the United States, obviously marketed through Chinese affiliates in that country. Try to buy from reputable sellers. 

If I describe a watch as new, then it is new and generally is wrapped in the manufacture's plastics. I do remove and replace some but not all of these plastics for photographic clarity. Most of my customers prefer an unmolested product where plastics are concerned however if you are genuine in your enquiry and prefer that all plastics be removed for photographic purposes then contact me and I will oblige.
