Vintage Made in Japan cabinet hinges, still sealed in original polybags (one opened only to photograph). These are solid metal hinges with an antique brass (AB) finish, part number P143-AB, measuring approximately 3 inches.
Based on the presence of UPC barcodes and the “Made in Japan” marking, these were likely manufactured in the late 1970s–1980s, a period when Japan exported high-quality hardware to the U.S. before production shifted elsewhere. This is not modern hardware and not current Japanese export stock.
Condition is new old stock:
• Never installed
• Original factory finish
• Minor surface tone variation from long-term storage only
• Includes original screws as shown
These have a noticeably heavier feel and better finish consistency than most modern reproduction hinges, making them ideal for:
• Vintage cabinet restoration
• Period-correct furniture repairs
• Jewelry boxes, chests, or small doors
• Builders avoiding thin modern repro hardware
