The Kramer Electronics TP-200AXR Computer Video & Stereo Audio over Twisted Pair Receiver is a device for receiving computer video and unbalanced stereo audio signals over twisted pair (e.g. CAT-5) cables. The receiver decodes and converts the video signal from the RJ-45 input to two 15-pin VGA output signals. It converts the unbalanced S/PDIF signals to two stereo analog signals, while also outputting two S/PDIF signals.
The TP-200AXR pairs with a TP-100AXR transmitter to form a system for sending RGBHV and audio signals across a facility. VGA is capable of carrying very high resolutions of analog component RGBHV signals, but its transmission distance is limited. For sending VGA and associated audio signals across a facility, one excellent option is converting the signal for transmission over a CAT-5 cable. This enables the signal to travel distances in the hundreds of feet.
The TP-200AXR receiver has an RJ-45 loop-out connection for sending signals to a second receiver, enabling the creation of a daisy chain of receivers that are connected via twisted pair cables. The TP-200AXR allows you to change the polarity of decoding H and V Sync for video and also includes EQ (peaking) and level (gain) controls for VGA output.
