Jean-Michel FOLON (1934-2005)

Jean-Michel Folon (1934-2005) was a renowned Belgian artist, illustrator, painter and sculptor. Born in Uccle, near Brussels, he is best known for his delicate watercolors and poetic drawings, often imbued with melancholy and reflections on the human condition. His works, characterized by stylized characters and dreamlike landscapes, have been widely distributed through posters, books and animations, such as the credits of the Antenne 2 channel in France. Folon also created sculptures, some of which are displayed in public spaces, such as at the Morning Calm Garden in South Korea. He died in Monaco in 2005, leaving an artistic legacy marked by a universal sensitivity.
