Ball-Hamilton 19J
Ball Watch Co., made by Hamilton, Official RR Standard 19 jewel 18 size open face lever-set pocket watch movement/dial/hands. Currently not running in need of repair, but a worthy piece for the railroad watch collector to restore. Movement has gold jewel settings including a jeweled barrel arbor, gold balance screws, and Ball's distinctive circular pattern nickel damaskeen. Dial is sunk-seconds enamel. Movement serial number is 503084.
Not running. Fully wound and balance wheel tilts to the side indicating a likely broken balance staff and/or balance jewel(s). One case screw is missing. Dial has a small edge chip outside 21 minutes, scattered light hairlines, and a some scattered tiny surface nicks.
