Painter, draftsman and engraver born in 1921 in Hidelsheim in Germany. Son of a sculptor, Eberhard Schlotter began painting at a very young age and exhibited for the first time in 1939. Since then, he has not stopped painting, drawing or engraving, also taking his teaching profession seriously. In 1950 he published "Art in the Making" and in 1955 became secretary of the Darmstadt Secession. His graphic work is abundant and his work as an illustrator immense. In 1977, for example, he devoted one hundred and sixty aquapints to the theme of Don Quixote and, more recently, worked for two years on his "Tragedy of Man", a tribute to Christopher Columbus.
