Mechanical Condition - Excellent - Full Working Order


The camera powers up perfectly and all top / rear controls work fully and correctly.

 

The built in pop up flash responds quickly,  smoothly and pops up and fires as required.

 

The hot shoe is responsive and an external flash can be added or any other desired accessory.


All the buttons / controls function 100% with no issue, there is no slippage or sticking when using the dials or controls


Cosmetic Condition - Excellent


The rubbers are in very good condition, however the top coating is worn on the grip, this is cosmetic does not affect performance of the camera or images captured


This is a very nice camera to handle and operate.


The LCD is clear and the information is displayed accurately. There is no digital bleed or distortion. The outer plastic displays are in very good condition, just some cosmetic marks, they are not cracked or damaged.


The exterior casing is in very good condition, however the top coating has slightly peeled in places, this is cosmetic and does not affect performance of the camera or images captured


There is no Power lead for the charger - these are very easy to obtain for most electronic / photographic and other retail stores

Sorry, there is no software on the market for this camera model to ascertain this info, I have tried all of them - but to no avail on this model.  As you can see in all our other listings, we always show this info when it is available  

I would love to offer this but it is not possible for this camera.  If you know a software/app that is possible to do it, I will gladly ascertain this info as I would love to display this figure as I do not expect it to be high at all.

This camera takes superb images and very easy to use - making it idea for a beginner as a starting DSLR or an enthusiast looking for a second, back up body at a great price point.

The Canon EOS 400D follows the design of the EOS 350D, being very compact and relatively lightweight but not compromising on manual controls or in-use performance. 

The headline changes are another two megapixel step up (to 10 megapixels), the nine-point AF sensor from the EOS 30D, a new dust removal system which includes anti-static surface coatings, low-pass filter vibration and software based dust pattern removal. 

Less important but just as noticeable are the removal of the status LCD, replaced instead by a camera settings screen on the now larger 2.5" LCD monitor and the eye proximity sensor just below the viewfinder to turn this off when composing your shot.
