The obverse side of the note depicts a portrait of former President Sukarno and former Vice-President Mohammad Hatta during the proclamation of independence. The bank logo as registration device, flowers, and the coat of arms of Indonesia. The reverse side features the Peoples Consultative Assembly building in Jakarta and the map of Indonesia. The note measures 151 x 65 mm and contains a windowed security thread with demetalized BI 100000 to enhance its security features. Placing the note under a UV light would reflect a watermark image of Indonesian songwriter Wage Rudolf Soepratman and an electrotype logo.
