Description: Canna compacta ‘Bonfire’ is a medium sized species-like canna growing 4-5 feet tall forming tight clump. It is upgraded version of old fashioned Canna compacta that offers spikes of bright scarlet blooms on dark purple stems above oval green leaves with dark margin. Heavy bloomer. Hummingbird attractive. Pictures are of actual plants in my garden the rhizomes eventually will grow into.
