Billhead

This is a rare antique billhead from the Girard House Hotel in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. It was for Colonial Charles Dorrance from Kingston / Wilkes Barre Pennsylvania.

The bill was for a 5 day stay in room 54 which was a whopping $27.40.

It has a lovely vignette of the Hotel and grounds at the top.

Charles Dorrance 1805 -1892, was a prominent member of Kingston and Wilkes Barre during the 19th century.

 

It measures about  6 7/8" x 8 1/2"  It is in good condition and it has been folded. It includes a 2 cent revenue stamp.

A great item for any collection of historical memorabilia from Philadelphia or Kingston / Wilkes Barre Pennsylvania.
