The original Arrco Playing Card Company, known as the Arrow Playing Card Company from the 1920s to 1935, gained popularity for its "

Duratone Plastic Coated

" cards, which were known for their durability and feel. The company was acquired by the United States Playing Card Company (USPCC) in the late 1980s. 

• Vintage Cards: The original Arrco cards are described as durable and able to be wiped clean. Condition on vintage cards varies from good, used condition with some corner folding to brand new and sealed.

• 2025 Reprints: The newest version (reprinted in May 2025) is printed by the USPCC on a thin crush retail stock and has a traditional cut, which makes them suitable for magic tricks, fanning, and faro shuffles.

• Finish Difference: Although the jokers and box of the reprints may still state "Plastic Coated", these modern decks actually feature the USPCC's premium Magic Finish (air-cushion finish), which differs from the original coating. Magicians praise the new version for its exceptional handling and feel. 

  They are a double deck set, with one deck having a pink background and the other a blue background, contained in a clear plastic case.
