It's offered to your attention the Soviet newspaper "Izvestiya" issued on February 5, 1966 - in two days after the Soviet automatic probe Luna-9 soft landed on the Moon, first in the world.
In this issue "Izvestiya" contains a front page full of admiring articles dedicated to Luna 9, which made the first soft landing on the Moon and transmitted a panoramic view of the lunar surface to Earth. Besides that, there is a photo of metal pennons brought by Luna-9 onto the lunar surface.
Before Luna 9, there had been eleven attempts to soft-land on the Moon. Only three spacecraft reached the lunar surface but crashed: Luna-5, Luna-7, and Luna-8.
Condition - very good, having some minor imperfections but without serious damages. A complete original Soviet issue on 4 pages, not a reprint, from a binding with holes from a hole punch and traces of thread stitching. It's in Russian language.
