BATTLE OF NEW ORLEANS - January 8, 1815

THE BATTLE THAT NEVER SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED.  The Treaty of Ghent was signed in Paris France December 21, 1814 ending the War of 1812 and then sent by ship to the United States, which was never received and ratified by U. S. Congress until February 16, 1815.
