RS Guitarworks STee Standard -Butterscotch Blonde- Between Medium and Heavy Aged #RS1125-3 ≒2.36kg

The company name, RS Guitarworks, is an abbreviation of the initials of builders Roy and Scott.

Through years of repair work, they have become well-versed in vintage guitars, and they incorporate the essence of vintage guitars they have acquired in the process.
The aged guitars they create with their own unique interpretation are of outstanding quality and have garnered support both domestically and internationally.
Their workshop is located in Winchester, USA, and there is no end to the examples of people who turn to RS after not being satisfied with results from other workshops.
"We are specialists in recreating authentic vintage guitars" -- and these words are no lie, as the guitars they build are of an astonishing level of perfection.

Our latest addition is the STee, assembled with RS's unique design!
It has a unique look, with an SG-shaped body and a TL-type assembly.
Favored by well-known artists in Japan, this model, along with the V-shaped TeeVee, is one of the models that has greatly increased RS's popularity in Japan.

Features a Paulownia body and a single-piece maple neck.
Due to the global shortage of ash, this guitar is now made with Paulownia, which is the standard specification.
Its greatest appeal is its light weight! This particular guitar weighs in at just 2.36 kg! It's impossible to imitate something this light.
It was used as a substitute because it closely resembles ash in both grain and sound, but it has become firmly established as a unique feature.

The authentic aging, possible only by someone who has handled many vintage guitars, is eye-catching.
This model in stock has an aging finish that falls between medium and heavy aging.
While there are normally four aging levels to choose from, the Standard Series STee is fixed at this aging level.
With the RS, the paint composition changes depending on the aging level, recreating even the subtle nuances of vintage guitars.
There are four aging levels: unaged Mint, Under The Bed, Played, But Loved, and Road Warrior. However, even at the same aging level, the nuances vary from one guitar to another.
No two vintage guitars are alike. Therefore, no two aged guitars are alike either.
However, each guitar has its own story behind its aging: "This is how it is used, so it has been worn down like this."
Because each guitar is a one-off, it is packed with the attention to detail that is precisely what is required.

The controls are a current-wired 3-way selector with 1 volume and 1 tone, a standard feature.
While the RS is strongly influenced by vintage styles, features such as current wiring will please players.
Each part is also equipped with high-precision parts, including those made by CTS, ensuring a finish that is uncompromising in every detail.
The fingerboard is also slightly flat at 10" (254mm), not only maintaining a vintage feel but also ensuring high playability.

The 63C-shaped neck fits surprisingly well in the palm of your hand.

This also contributes to the guitar's fat tone.

In 2023, RS Guitarworks announced that it now manufactures its own pickups.

While the regular lineup continues to use custom-made Lindy Fralin pickups, the Standard Series will now be equipped with RS pickups.

The original pickups are slightly lower in power, but produce a rich, warm tone.

In particular, the bridge position reproduces a softer tone based on the early lap steel windings, making it ideal for rock and blues.

The neck pickup is quite distinctive, with a tone that is more ST-like than TL, overcoming the weak feel of conventional TL-type pickups.

In the mixed position, it produces a brilliant, beautiful tone reminiscent of vintage TL guitars, perfect for chord playing and arpeggios.

This tuning, possible only with RS's deep knowledge of vintage guitars, allows for tuning that is as good as a TL-type guitar. It's safe to say that this guitar has been brought to its perfection.

When you actually play it, the sound is open even without going through an amplifier, and you can feel the precision of the thin finish and setup.
The pickup power is a little modest, but it outputs a beautiful, well-balanced sound with good projection.
It has the full, thick nuances that a TL type should have, yet still has a rustic, vintage tone.
It's an amazing job, and it's no wonder so many famous artists use it.

The looks and sound are both exquisite! If you're looking for a high-quality electric guitar, this is a model you should definitely try!
Please consider it.
