This listing is for a rebuilt injection pump for a John Deere 4020. We rebuild these in house at Badger Diesel using high quality parts and testing and calibrating everything on our Bosch test equipment. 

We typically have these pumps on the shelf ready to ship same or next day.

Our process is as follows: Pumps are torn down, cleaned up, and inspected for damage. All wear parts are replaced including the pilot tube, metering valve, delivery valve, delivery valve spring, transfer pump liner and blades, return connector, all gaskets, and governor cage. Then the pumps are reassembled to all factory specs then tested and recalibrated on our Bosch test equipment which means all of our pumps ran for at least an hour prior to leaving our shop.

All of our pumps get the upgraded EID weight cage installed as well as an upgraded pilot tube that does not wear out. 

If you're not familiar with an EID weight cage I'll explain: the old style governor weight cage was made of 2 pieces that were held together with a plastic "flex ring". The flex ring will get hard and break into pieces that look like coffee grounds inside your pumps. These pieces will plug your return line up causing the common stalling problem, hunting rpm, or lack of throttle problems. A lot of shops don't install these updates because it ensures you'll be back for another rebuild in the near future. One of the things I hear a lot about these from customers is that they say "I don't use the tractor much, so I don't want to spend the extra $100 for that upgrade, the old one lasted 20 years so it's fine without it. The answer to that is that todays fuel is not the same as it was for one and eats the plastic rings and for two, the sitting around is the worst thing for it because it just sits in the fuel and gets hard because it's not being flexed and kept pliable. I've see these flex rings fail within 2 years if they don't get used every day.

All of our pumps are rebuilt by either the owner Fred who's been doing this for 23 years or Jon who's been rebuilding pumps for 45 years, not a $15/hr trainee. Unlike our competitors flooding the market with cheap chinese parts and Krylon remans we refuse to sell low quality junk just to make a buck.

How can I pay the core charge?

4. If you would rather not pay the deposit you can send your old one in first. Please let us know if this is what you'd prefer however and we will ask that you wait until we receive your core before you place the order.
*** TYPICALLY WE DO NOT CHARGE THE CORE IMMEDIATELY. WE WILL TAKE THE CREDIT CARD AND PLACE A HOLD ON IT FOR THE CORE AMOUNT. IF THE CORE IS NOT RETURNED WITHIN 3 WEEKS WE WILL THEN CHARGE THE DEPOSIT. IF THE CORE IS RETURNED AFTER 3 WEEKS WE WILL STILL REFUND THE DEPOSIT***

CORE CRITERIA: 
 1. Core must be the same pump number we send you. If different you must call   first to make sure if it will be acceptable.

 2.Core must be complete. Whatever you receive from us must be included on   your core. If not it will be deducted from the core refund until it is returned.

 3. Cores that have been burned will have to be evaluated on a case by case basis.

 4. Cores with other damage that isn't normal wear and tear such as a broken       housing will be deducted accordingly. Please contact us with questions.

 5. Core with seized heads will have a 2/3 core deduction plus the cost of the     drive shaft depending on which pump it is.


CORES RETURNED MUST BE THE SAME AS WHAT YOU PURCHASED. CREDIT WILL NOT BE GIVEN FOR OTHER PART NUMBERS.


Since we are a full fuel injection shop we can stand behind what we sell and know what it is we are selling you, not like some of these other sellers that are just buying surplus parts and selling them then when there is a problem they tell you it's not their problem and don't even know how to help you.

Ask the other guys to show you pictures of their shop. These guys are doing this in their barn or garage in a dirty environment and don't even own a test bench to calibrate the pumps when they are done. Fuel injection work MUST be done in a clean environment due to tolerances in the 1-3 micron range. Calibration equipment is where the money is and if it wasn't required to do the job right we would rather have the money in our pocket.

WARRANTY

 We warranty our products to be free from defects in material or workmanship for 12 months, from the date of arrival. We will repair or replace any product to be defective in material or workmanship that fails during normal and reasonable usage. All failed and related parts must be available for inspection by us. This warranty does not cover improper installation, operator negligence, misuse, neglect, poor maintenance, accidents, troubleshooting or diagnostic time, mileage, towing, down time, loss of profit, cargo damage, or any other consequential or indirect claims. If the failed item has been tampered with in any way the warranty will be void entirely. In the event that you have an improper diagnosis of a pump failure and the item is returned for warranty work and there is nothing wrong with the part there will be a service fee for testing the part. This warranty will cover the cost of returning the replacement unit to you on domestic shipments only. All international customers will have to pay return shipping.
