This is a brand new humbucking coil pickup for banjo designed for use with double rod instruments, but may be modified to fit single rod banjos. It is made by Fishman, and is one of their Classic Series of pickups. It is a quiet humbucking coil with a powerful neodymium magnet. It has a built-in, specially designed preamp to strengthen and preserve the natural sound of the banjo. It will not affect the acoustic playing of your banjo, but it does give you an option to plug it in when your performance needs a boost. It is easily installed with no alteration to your instrument.
