Vintage U.S. Glass Kings Crown pressed glass piece in ruby stain, from the Excelsior (XLCR) line.

The Kings Crown pattern was produced by U.S. Glass primarily during the 1930s–1940s, making this piece a good example of Depression-era to early mid-century American pressed glass. The ruby stain finish was applied to clear pressed glass and then reheated, creating the deep red colour concentrated on the upper portion of the piece.

U.S. Glass Company was one of the largest and most influential American glass manufacturers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, known for producing affordable yet decorative pressed glass for everyday household use. The Kings Crown pattern remains one of their most recognizable and collected designs.

This form is commonly identified as an open sugar bowl, though it is also frequently collected and used as a tumbler or small decorative vessel.

Very good vintage condition overall.
There are two small chips on the bottom rim (base). These do not affect stability or display.
No cracks or repairs observed.
