Thin planchet error or pattern, extremely rare on early Mercury dimes. The bands are full and split but PCGS does not designate FB on errors. All planchets are punched from "rolled" sheets, so PCGS's description is verbose.

A gorgeous, bright, lustrous, unusual error or pattern (the Mint was well known for experimenting with planchet variations).
