The Venezuela 1 Bolivar banknote was released in 1989 by the Central Bank of Venezuela as a substitute for nickel coins. It has a combination of purple and blue. This note is one of those widely known as Tinoquitos which is the diminutive form of the last name of Banco Central de Venezuelas president, Pedro Tinoco Jr. The banknotes obverse features a coin that displays the profile of Bolivar Libertador. The reverse depicts the coat of arms of Venezuela. The paper bill is 115 x 55 mm in size and bears no security threads and watermarks. It carries the signatures of Pedro Tinoco Jr and Jose Vicente Rodriguez Aznar. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been authenticated.
