This listing is for a Vintage 1910 1st Edition of "Madame X: A Story of Mother-Love" by J.W. McConaughy, based on the popular 1908 French play (La Femme X) by Alexandre Bisson.   The story is a dramatic narrative that explores themes of motherly love, sacrifice, and the tragic consequences of societal and familial rejection.   

The play was first performed in 1910 in Paris and on Broadway, and was subsequently adapted into multiple films.
